'Tiger Zinda Hai' gives tough competition to 'Baahubali 2' on Box Office

The Ali Abbas directed Yash Raj Films produced venture Tiger Zinda Hai released last week on Friday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "And #TZH hits a DOUBLE CENTURY". #TigerZindaHai emerges an OUTRIGHT WINNER.

While it looks like that the film will surely enter 300 crores club till the new year.

As expected, director Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai has crossed the Rs200 crore mark in the first week itself. And the list includes blockbusters like Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ready, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Jai Ho, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and interestingly Tubelight. "Baahubali 2" had crossed Rs 200-crore mark on the sixth day.

Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 34.10 crore) beat Golmaal Again (Rs 30.14 crore) to become the highest Bollywood opener of 2017.

The movie is a sequel to Kabir Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012), which also had the same actors in the leading roles.

The film is a complete entertainer with some wonderful songs and breathtaking cinematography. According to early estimates, Tiger Zinda Hai made another Rs 15 crore (approximately) on Thursday.

As per the progression so far, all indications are that Tiger Zinda Hai would make its way to the 300 Crore Club as well. But the fact that TZH had strong content and it was packaged well, meant that the film set the box office on fire and raked in large amounts of money at the ticket window.
