Remains found in Montana may be three missing MI boys

"The tenants were dirty", a neighbor would later grumble to NBC Montana. "The yard was a mess". After a recent tenant had been evicted, a cleaning crew discovered the box in the shed that contained the remains.

On Sept. 27 the crew arrived and worked through the house's 896 square feet and the backyard, where a weather-roughened two-car garage and shed stood. Inside was a horrific discovery - human bones. Sergeant Welsh said none of the people they are speaking with are considered suspects of a crime.

The State Crime Lab indicated that the remains, which matched three children between 2-4 years old, 5-8 years old and 6-10 years old, were shipped for DNA testing at the University of North Texas.

He said he learned about the Missoula remains this week from Montana news articles. "If that could give the family peace of mind, it may not be the answer we want, but it would just enable the family to have some closure". Significant assistance has also been provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. We are told all live in Missoula or in the surrounding area.

But 1,800 miles away in Morenci, Mich., the discovery out west sparked a mix of alarm and hope. Authorities have said they believe the boys are dead.

Authorities investigate if human remains discovered in Missoula, Montana could be those of brothers who went missing in 2010.

In the years since, the boys' disappearance has been vigorously investigated by the Morenci Police Department, FBI and Michigan State Police (MSP).

In some studies, researchers indicated that social media might cause an increased feeling of loneliness and depression . Facebook's own research team found some pros and cons of using its social media platform.

Tanya Zuvers, mother of the three boys, stated on social media at 7:40 p.m. that "This information has just been presented to our family within the last several hours. We are thankful for all your thoughts and prayers".

They don't know for sure if there's a connection with Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton but even if it is the missing brothers, there is a huge unanswered question.

The disappearances of the Skelton boys remain a mystery that authorities in MI have vowed to solve. Everything may change when we sit down with them.

Zuvers could not immediately be reached for comment. But Zuvers maintained she never abused or assaulted her own children.

At his sentencing, the father again refused to name the organization to which he had handed over his children or to explain what may have really happened.

Another holiday season is here, but Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton have yet to return home to Morenci.

In the Skelton case, their father, John Skelton, was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison for unlawful imprisonment of his children. "Your explanations have been ridiculous, albeit more sad than anything else".

He expressed joy at his exoneration but regretted that his aide Tareens disqualification. The court had completed hearing and reserved the judgement on November 14.

Michigan State Police First Lt. Michael Shaw said the agency has been in contact with Missoula authorities, who are aware of the Skelton case.

Skelton, 46, has told investigators that he didn't harm the boys.

But charges were never filed.

"I hope it's not them". Zuvers said. "Are they crying for me?"

"It's so hard to imagine them hurting for me and not being able to do anything about it", she said.

But, given the small size of the bones, there's no guarantee the agency will be able to extract DNA from them, police said. Labare hasn't been named as a person of interest or charged in the matter.

"I'd think they would call the police or someone", the Amish woman said.
