Seattle Seahawks' Quinton Jefferson: 'I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me'

Seattle Seahawks' Quinton Jefferson: 'I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me'

Coach Pete Carroll, ever the optimist, teaches his players to finish everything, even if the outcome of a play or a game seems all but determined.

Sadly, an ugly ending to the Jaguars' highly entertaining 30-24 victory against the Seattle Seahawks overshadowed what was an outstanding all-around performance by the NFL's up-and-coming franchise.

Carroll just regretted what it led to.

"We were playing hard today and a guy grabbed me after the whistle blew", Richardson said after the game. We [sic] always looking at the athlete.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars in no way condone the behavior of a small group of fans that occurred at the conclusion of Sunday's Jaguars vs. Seahawks game, which involved the throwing of several items on to the field in the direction of a visiting player", the Jaguars said in a statement Monday. Jaguars running back shoved Bennett during the ensuing melee.

Neymar sends Real Madrid prediction to Lionel Messi after Champions League draw
I'm happy to play with these players. "We have to go game by game". "Tactically, they're very good and also very physical". Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian forward Neymar (L) and Real Madrid's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo (R).

Click on the video above to watch Jefferson then clash with Jaguars fans as he makes his way off the field, with various objects being thrown at him. After all, the scene - minus the Jefferson part - was a familiar one for Seattle.

The most famous came in Seattle's Super Bowl loss to New England when Bennett was involved in a scuffle in the closing seconds after Malcolm Butler's goal-line interception secured the victory for the Patriots.

This nonsense began when Bennett, nominated by the Seahawks for the 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, continued to try and dive at the lower leg of Jaguars' center Brandon Linder after a kneel-down play was over.

"We still had a chance to get the ball back", Carroll said.

"They were trying to fight to get the ball back, and there wasn't the chance to do it at that point". "The stuff that happened after that was wrong". But he was trying to get the ball. "But after that, that got messy". Bortles has made himself a solid starting fantasy option, posting 16 or more points in six of his past seven games with three straight QB1 scoring weeks.

Supporters Celebrate as Ukraine Opposition Leader Saakashvili Released By Court
Inside the courtroom Saakashvili called the trial "a shame" of current authorities that has inspired critical media coverage. Saakashvili was earlier stripped of Ukraine's citizenship, but he managed to illegally enter the country.

It never worked for Seattle anyway.

"This is a game that nobody picked us to win, and if they did pick us to win, it wasn't by much", he said, adding that the win sent a message to the rest of the NFL. The league's protocol he's now in can take a week or more to get through successfully.

Bennett won't be swiping, but that doesn't mean Carroll will have his defense concede in end-of-game situations where a turnover would give the team life.

Carroll referenced the "Miracle at the Meadowlands" from 1978 as a famous example. On the Jaguars' first drive in the second half, quarterback Blake Bortles orchestrated a five play, 42-yard drive that was capped off by a attractive 18-yard fade to rookie wide receiver Dede Westbrook.

"So it can happen", Carroll said. "We just beat the crap out of you for 60 minutes". "So we were going to keep trying".

Eli Manning returned for the Giants, but their 2017 misery remained
The Giants' defense, which had held firm through three quarters of the game, had no answers for the Cowboys in the fourth quarter. The fans got what they wanted with Manning starting. "It's been one thing after the next with me and the injuries".
