Blitzboks lose to Kiwis in Sevens semi-final

The Blitzbokke held a 12-7 lead at halftime after scoring on the hooter but the All Blacks Sevens responded perfectly after Vilimoni Koroi ran 80m off the kickoff to score and tie the match.

After losing 19-12 to New Zealand in the semi-final earlier in the day, despite being favourites, hosts South Africa bounced back to claim the bronze medal thanks to a 19-17 victory over Canada.

New Zealand last won a title at the Vancouver event in 2016 and now lead the sevens series after a second placing in the opening event in Dubai last week.
