AZTEC, N.M. (KRQE) -New Mexico State Police say two students are dead after a school shooting at Aztec High School in Aztec, NM.

Police have not disclosed the shooter's identity, however, they have confirmed that hes a man. Authorities also would not confirm whether or not the shooter was a student or if there was a motive. As of 2 p.m. ET Thursday, New Mexico State Police announced there were "no more credible threats" to students at area schools.

"We heard shots and it wasn't very close and then it stopped for a little bit", student Briley Dills said.

Atchison was a former student at small-town Aztec High School. Kassetas said Francisco Fernandez entered the bathroom where Atchison was gearing up.
