BJP refutes Aiyar's claim that he held no post in Congress

BJP refutes Aiyar's claim that he held no post in Congress

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on December 7 called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a "neech aadmi (vile man)" and one who does "dirty politics".

As Aiyar's remarks that Modi was a "neech aadmi" (low-life) in the context of his criticism of the Congress vis-a-vis B.R. Ambedkar snowballed, the Prime Minister referred to it in an election meeting in Surat and attacked the Congress leader, saying he had called him a "neech jaati" (low caste). What does this signify?

"Why was the Prime Minister taking a jibe at Congress and Rahul Gandhi at the inauguration of a centre on Babasaheb Ambedkar?"

"They can not bring themselves to terms with the fact that a person from a less privileged background became the Prime Minister of India". "You have seen me as chief minister for 14 years and then as prime minister".

Speaking to ANI, Aiyar had said, "Ye aadmi bahut neech kisam ka aadmi hai, is mein koi sabhyata nahi hai, aur aise mauke par is kisam ki gandi rajniti karne ki kya avashyakta hai?" If it happened to mean something else. "I never called Modi a low born". There is a difference in English language between words "low" and "low-born".

"I wish to say with full responsibility that this kind of abuses being showered on my leader and PM with alarming regularity without any check (is) being done with full approval and affirmation of Rahul Gandhi", Prasad said.

Gargash leads UAE delegation at GCC summit in Kuwait
In June, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain imposed an air, sea and land blockade on Qatar , halting Qatar Airways operations. He and Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber al-Sabah were the only heads of state to attend the meeting.

However, Aiyar clarified that the word "neech" holds different meanings, adding he would want to apologise for the wrong translation.

Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar made a scathing attack on Modi by calling him a culture-less neech person in an interview today. I meant low level when I said "neech", I think in English when I speak in Hindi as Hindi is not my mother tongue. Why would he use such a low language for the Congress on such an occasion. "As far as I am concerned the bulk of my remarks dealt with Modi's very, very nasty remarks about the Congress, particularly with Gandhi's relationship with Ambedkar". "Please do not respond to the remark even on Twitter", he said.

Jaitley later told reporters that this is part of a strategy of the Congress to belittle the Prime Minister every day and then say they will "retract".

United Kingdom ambassador told White House of 'concerns' over anti-Muslim videos
Britain First leader Paul Golding also said the group's Facebook posts were reaching hundreds of thousands more users. Rudd said that was an "interesting suggestion" for Twitter's chief executive Jack Dorsey to consider.

Prasad said Congress leaders believed that only a heir of the Nehru-Gandhi family is capable of leading the country, which reflects a "highly deplorable mindset".
