Ontario PD investigating disturbing video of boy throwing cat onto street

The video, which was originally posted on Snapchat, shows the unidentified 16-year-old holding the cat and hurling it into the air, police said.

"I just want him to know he hurt a victim that can't defend itself?" Ontario police launched an investigation into the incident that eventually led them to identify a teen boy believed to be responsible for the abuse of the kitten, authorities said.

The Ontario police station released a statement on Twitter on Saturday night saying that the cat, whose name is Spot, survived the horrific ordeal.

The kitten suffered multiple injures when it landed in the middle of the street, police said. The kitten, who suffered a fractured leg, is in good condition and recovering at the Inland Valley Humane Society. The investigation is active and ongoing.
