Astronauts make delicious looking pizza in zero gravity

Pizza, for instance. As soon as you spin that dough into the air, it's not coming back down: It's going straight to the ceiling.

It's not the 3D-printed pizza that astronauts could one day be scarfing down on lengthy missions to Mars, but it is, nevertheless, pizza in space. Although, what is lacking in the flavor and texture department is made up for by the fact that the pizzas are floating around in a weightless environment.

Looks like the astronauts couldn't stay away for too much longer and chose to satisfy their cravings.

NASA posted the video of Saturday's pizza party.

Nespoli, 60, Europe's oldest astronaut and on his third trip to space, casually mentioned he was missing Italy's most famous export during a live link.

Forecast calls for wintry week and warmer weekend
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service early Saturday morning issued a winter weather advisory for the northern Oregon Cascades. Tonight , we'll remain on the warm side with lows in the 60s with only a slight chance of showers, mainly after midnight.

By Nespoli's account, the final pies were "delicious", but admittedly, these pizzas were the kind that probably only a desperate astronaut could love. That said, numerous toppings-including pepperoni, olives and anchovies-did look quite delicious.
