Rain Changing To Snow

Rain Changing To Snow

There could be an isolated shower in the afternoon but the main line of rain is expected to move in overnight.

Temperatures will warm into the 40s ahead of this system and rain will arrive by 8 a.m. Saturday. North wind 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour. The exception to this will be along the western slopes as upslope snow showers get going as colder air rushes in behind the front.

This evening will be partly cloudy with SW winds diminishing for a time but a cold front pushes through tonight and behind it winds will increase and shift to the north gusting up to 35 miles per hour. Winds NW at 15 to 25 miles per hour. As of now, it looks like we'll see about a 30% coverage of showers over Acadiana with the time frame being early afternoon for the far western sections, around sunset here in Lafayette.
