Truck's Trump f-bomb catches Fort Bend County sheriff's attention

Truck's Trump f-bomb catches Fort Bend County sheriff's attention

The owner of the truck, who KPRC 2 identified as Karen Forsenca, said the sticker would stay up as it has for almost a year, according to the local news station.

"F-- Trump and f-- you for voting for him" is displayed in the back window of Karen Fonseca's white pickup truck, seen driving around Fort Bend County, TX.

What the message lacks in wit it apparently made up for in offense, with Nehls saying he had received "numerous calls regarding the offensive display" from citizens hoping that the driver's foul mouth and truck can be washed clean by the law.

In a move that has sparked controversy about freedom of speech, authorities in Texas announced they are looking for the owner of a pickup truck who has been driving around with a "F-k Trump" decal on the rear window. "Our prosecutor has informed us she would accept disorderly conduct charges regarding it, but I feel we could come to an agreement regarding a modification to it", he wrote.

The sheriff posted a photo of a portion of of the Texas law for "Disorderly Conduct" in the comments section "for the point of discussion".

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has backed Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to come close to breaking Alan Shearer's Premier League goalscoring record.

The Houston Chronicle said the truck's owners have no plans to remove the custom graphic, which they ordered after Trump's election.

"Fonseca said the truck belongs to her husband but that she often drives it".

What do you think: Disorderly conduct or free speech?

"Due to the hate messages he has been receiving toward his wife and children, the sheriff will not be commenting on the matter further", spokeswoman Caitilin Espinosa said by email.

"A lot of females say I wish I had the balls to do that", she said. "They want to shake your hand". "They honk their horn, they give you a thumbs up, there is some negativity because we're in a diversified community, but the plusses outweigh the negativity", said Forsenca.

The American Civil Liberties Union posted on Facebook that "you can't prosecute speech just because it contains words you don't like". However, Nehls also specifically cited the "offensive language" on the truck as a cause for concern.

"There's no law against freedom of speech, nothing in the law book here in Texas", she told KHOU-TV in Houston.

"Many families have called that have seen that truck on our county roadways and are very offended by the language on the truck", Nehls said during the press conference.

Sheriff Nehls says he wanted to talk to the truck owner to try to get the message modified somehow.
