IPhone X iOS 11.1.1 gets jailbroken

Apple's latest update to iOS 11 is set to offer faster wireless charging for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X owners.

According to MacRumors, the 11.2 update will bring support for Qi wireless charging at a rate of 7.5 watts, an improvement over the current 5-watt limit allowed by iOS 11.1.1. Minimal display bezels, OLED display panels and wireless charging have all been in the Android domain for a few generations (or more). This will give users a small, but noticeable boost in charging speeds over current 5W charging levels.

Hawley subpoenas Google, says Missouri is not giving company a "free pass"
The Federal Trade Commission has come to rely more heavily on states attorneys general for enforcement. He says the company will be held accountable and Missouri is not giving Google a free pass.

The new, higher speed of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X doesn't quite put them as high as the competition from Samsung (which can reach 15W through a supported charger) but it may turn out that in practice they'll charge equally fast.

The smartphones, which can charge wirelessly with Qi-based accessories like the Belkin and Mophie pads, will be able to charge at 7.5 watts with iOS 11.2. This means that you can go ahead and pick one of the many compatible charging mats out there to make use of this wireless technology.

Brookfield Property Partners L (NYSE:BPY) Trading Down - Short Interest Up 13.48%
Brookfield Property's bid said it offered a 20% premium based on General Growth's stock price of $19 a share on November 6. Stock repurchase plans are generally an indication that the company's leadership believes its shares are undervalued.

Apple has yet to release its AirPower charging pad; however, there are some third party options that work well with the iPhone. Still, if you're a supporter of wireless charging, faster charging speeds can only encourage you to embrace the cable-free future (and will probably get you to stop fiddling with your phone).
