Hours after forces killed two militants in Kashmir, fresh encounters break out

Kulgam-In a fierce gun battle between government forces and militants in Nowbug Kund area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district, a militant and a soldier were killed while a cop associated with Special Operation Group sustained injuries.

These encounters are taking place after security forces conducted cordon and search operations in the state, reports CNN-News18.

However, when the security forces were moving towards particular area, militants opened fire, they said. Patil added that a soldier was killed and another Armyman and an SOG trooper were injured. A B.Tech passout, Ahmad was active in the region for the last three-and-a-half years, said sources.
