Delhi air pollution: Arvind Kejriwal to meet Manohar Lal Khattar today

Amid the angry exchanges over the pollution issue in the national capital, Kejriwal urged his Punjab counterpart Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday to meet as the former will be in Chandigarh on Wednesday. "Sir, I am coming to Chandigarh on Wednesday to meet Haryana CM".

The Delhi government is blaming stubble burning by farmers in Punjab and Haryana for the smog and air pollution in the national capital and surrounding areas which have led to environment and health concerns for people.

Delhi Rural Development Minister Gopal Rai on November 13 took on the Central Govt and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on the increasing levels of air pollution in the National Capital.

"How else can one explain Kejriwal's desperation to seek a meeting with me at this juncture, especially when I had categorically rejected such a suggestion earlier", Singh claimed.

Blasting Kejriwal, the Punjab CM said: "Mr Kejriwal is a peculiar person who has views on everything without understanding the situation".
