Deschamps fed up with questions about Real Madrid striker Benzema

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has admitted that he does not expect to be called up to the France squad while Didier Deschamps remains in charge.

In July, the Court of Cassation - France's court of final appeals in civil and criminal proceedings - ruled in Benzema's favour.

Benzema's lawyers argued an undercover police officer acted dishonestly and played an "active role" in coercing the parties towards a deal and that without his actions no crime would have even taken place.

"It could be [the sex tape scandal], of course", he told Canal+.

Like Benzema, Ben Arfa no longer features in Deschamps' plans for France at global level.

"We get on well. Perhaps he is not motivated the same way that he was two years ago".

"It's not a matter of calling or not calling".

"I told him what I had to say, which took an hour".

'It felt that he thought they were amusing and the truth is that if he was someone that I respected, then in that moment I lost my cool'.

"I have no problems with any player in the France team".

"At the worldwide level that takes time, you only have to see the beginning of their adventure that began in 2004 to 2006, and then they had the ultimate title [the World Cup] eight years later [in 2014]".

"I'm not a disrupter, but I have an image that is not good externally [away from the team]". He likes to play with one touch of the ball. Both Benzema and Ronaldo make up two-thirds of Real's devastating BBC front-line that has fired the club to back-to-back Champions League titles.

The 29-year-old France outcast has been at Madrid since 2009 but his time appears to be coming to an end.
