Lions rally to 38-24 win over Browns after falling behind early

Cleveland scored the first 10 points of the game, but the Lions rallied to take a 17-10 lead by halftime.

With no timeouts remaining and 15 seconds left in the second quarter, Browns rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer attempted a sneak from the Detroit 2-yard line. The Browns lost 38-24 but had Kizer not gotten injured, they were on their way to their first win of the season.

Lions defensive back Nevin Lawson stripped the Browns ball carrier, broke a tackle and took it all the way back for a touchdown, making it 17-10 Lions in the second quarter. They did the usual on the first series and stalled inside the Detroit Lions' 10 yard line.

ISIS Has Retaken Half of Syrian Border Town
Al-Baghdadi's whereabouts and the question of whether he is dead or alive have been a continuing source of mystery and confusion. The group's last urban stronghold in Syria, Albu Kamal, fell afterwards.

Cody Kessler, who appeared in relief of a struggling Kizer earlier this season, replaced him.

The Browns responded with three strong possessions: the one that came up empty at the end of the half, two long touchdown drives in the third quarter. The Browns were coming out of a timeout - their last of the half - and it is incumbent upon Jackson to stress game situation to his rookie quarterback. Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson ran well.

Emmanuel Ogbah had four sacks, and Christian Kirksey and Joe Schobert each added a sack. They were allowing 25 a game before facing the Lions and had held the Steelers, a top-10 offensive team, to 21 in the season opener.

Cramer: AT&T is 'a pitiful, helpless giant' without the Time Warner deal
According to that Reuters report, regulators and competitors are anxious about AT&T owning Time Warner's broadcasting business. Stephenson did not answer directly when asked if AT&T would be willing to sell DirecTV.

The Browns were driving as time elapsed when Detroit's Darius Slay intercepted Kizer in the end zone to set the final score.

Zane Gonzalez put the Browns on the board with a 23-yard field goal.

It was one of those play calls that the Browns have become known for, one that fans wish they could unsee after it unfolds.

Isco: Bale having a hard time after latest injury setback
The new injury will increase speculation that he could be sold by Real Madrid , who could use his fee to reinvest in new recruits. Bale suffered a calf injury towards the end of that game and missed Wales' final two World Cup qualifiers last month as a result.

Tight end Eric Ebron's second touchdown of the season moved the Lions back in front after Kizer's injury. The reason he was hit was because David Njoku missed a block. But that was as close as they got to the upset. The Browns' formula when the season started was to play good defense and run the ball; to win conservatively, or at least try to.
