Chuck Mosley, Former Faith No More Frontman, Dies at 57

Chuck Mosley joined Faith No More band in 1985 and worked as the attracting point for it. Faith No More starts getting famous for its metal, hip-hop, pop and funk music with the entry of Mosley.

The band's acclaimed second album, Introduce Yourself, spawned two of their key singles, "Anne's Song" and the hit "We Care a Lot", bringing the band to national attention. Faith No More eventually split with Mosely, taking on teenaged firebrand Mike Patton and going on to achieve major global recognition with platinum-selling 1989 album The Real Thing.

He performed alongside the current Faith No More lineup several times in 2016 as part of the group's reunion.

In a statement from Mosley's family and released via his publicist, Mosley's death was said to have been due to addiction-related causes after the singer experienced "a long period of sobriety".

Mosley is survived by his partner, Pip Logan, his daughters Sophie and Erica, and his grandson Wolfgang Logan Mosley. The family will be accepting donations for funeral expenses.

Faith No More had a habit of allowing audience members jump in to sing and Mosley "was among the most frequent volunteers", according to Rolling Stone.

During his stint in the band, Mosley's behaviour was often volatile and unpredictable.

"It's with a heavy, heavy heart we acknowledge the passing of our friend and bandmate, Chuck Mosley".

Mosley played with future Faith No More bassist Bill Gould in a band called the Animated. Mosley's name also come in front when he replaced the vocalist for Bad Brains, H.R. Later in 2009, he releases his solo debut album Will Rap Over Hard Rock for Food.
