Australian Jockey Suspended for Punching Horse

Thoroughbred Racing South Australia have responded by banning Caboche for two weeks and hope the severe penalty will act as a warning to other jockeys.

The jockey in question is Dylan Caboche, who has ridden 40 winners in the previous year and was involved in an incident with his horse She's Reneldasgirl.

Eventually, the animal was coaxed into starting the race - but finished eighth, more than 14 lengths off the race victor.

Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA) stewards conducted an inquiry and suspended Caboche's licence for two weeks for misconduct.

Biden: 'I Believed I Was' Most Qualified Candidate For President
Biden's candid responses sound more and more like someone who may still want to run. They play to their strengths and try to shore up their weaknesses.

Caboche lost his temper as he leaped off his horse and violently punched She's Reneldasgirl in the stomach.

"TRSA does not condone and will not tolerate such behaviour", the racing authority said.

However members of the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses (CPR) have demanded a heavier ban, saying the penalty is "grossly inadequate".

He said: "I want to genuinely, sincerely and unreservedly apologise to everyone for my actions".

In the post to Instagram , shared October 13th, Spears can be seen in a cleavage-baring top partially covered by a paint-splattered painter's shirt.

Issuing an apology on Thursday, Caboche, 22, said he was "gutted" and appreciated his actions were completely unacceptable. According to, a jockey named Brandon Stockdale was fined $500 after he struck a filly named Maid to Measure in the vicinity of the stomach following a seventh-place finish in August. "Obviously, I understand and accept that no matter how hard my mount was, it can't justify what I did".

Just as the people from TMZ said - It doesn't make sense why this jockey should ever be allowed in the sport again, at least to me.

According to, Caboche's suspension will run from midnight November 17 to December 1.
