ES Magazine offers 'unreserved apologies' to Solange Knowles

It's all pretty clear. Solange has spoken. Don't touch her hair. But we guess some people just weren't listening closely enough. The magazine has yet to comment.

Solange, much like her big sister Beyoncé, is exceptionally selective about how, when, and where she shares her images and thoughts. Above her head is literally a halo, or crown, made of braids.

As expected, her fans called out the magazine for their insensitivity and for deciding to remove the stunning hairstyle from the cover. You can't really tell for sure, but it doesn't look like her crown would have interfered with any text on the cover.

However, in the same image posted to her personal Instagram page on Thursday (seen above), Solange is also shown donning a attractive braided crown that didn't make an appearance on the magazine cover. "Dtmh", she captioned the image and tagging the Evening Standard Magazine, or "don't touch my hair".

When we saw Solange Knowles' recent magazine cover yesterday, we almost gasped! "Still need to wake up and do some pinching".

The musician is on the cover of the latest issue of the magazine this week, dated October 20, but took to Instagram to protest the editing of her hair.

Hair braiding was an integral part of this woman's life while she learned and grew, helping her find beauty in transformation and glamour, which she talks about in the interview. She also discussed braiding's importance to her and praised it as "its own art form". Growing up there was pivotal.

"I got to experience women arriving in one state of mind and leaving in a completely transformed way", she recalled to the mag of her experiences at her mother's salon. "It wasn't just about the hair", she continued. It was about the sisterhood and the storytelling.
