Inzi's nephew Imam steals hearts with brilliant century on ODI debut

Hasan (5-34) broke the record for the fewest number of ODIs needed by a Pakistan bowler to take 50 wickets in his 24th match after the in-form Upul Tharanga top scored with 61 in a Sri Lanka innings that fell apart, but it was very much Imam's day.

Imam-ul-Haq became 215th ODI player for Pakistan as Sri Lanka made a decision to bat first in the third match. Babar Azam scored a second succesive hundred while Shadab Khan gave his career best bowling and batting to help Pakistan thump Sri Lanka by 32 runs in the second day-night global.

It was another woeful performance from the Sri Lanka batsmen in the face of some good bowling from Pakistan.

Bobby Portis punched Nikola Mirotic in practice, and now neither will be playing in games anytime soon. Mirotic suffered multiple broken bones in his face as well as a concussion on Tuesday.


The 21-year-old, who was included in squad as replacement of out-of-form Ahmad Shahzad, smashed two sixes and stroked four boundaries to score 100 off 125 deliveries to become only 2nd Pakistani to score a century on his debut ODI.

Imam looked confident from the onset when he smashed seamer Lahiru Gamage for a six over point. Imam will be 22 in December.
