Ford recalling 1.3 million F-series pickups

Ford recalling 1.3 million F-series pickups

The recall of the 2015-17 F-150 and 2017 Super Duty trucks in North America was launched to add a water shield to side door latches on the vehicles.

Ford estimates it will cost $267 million to make the repairs.

To prevent frozen door latches before old man winter comes around, Ford will install water shields over the latches, in addition to fixing any broken actuation cables, free of charge.

Trump's Anti-Iran Rhetoric Isolates US, Not Iran: Commander
Last week, Trump refused to formally certify that Iran was complying with the nuclear deal, defying both allies and adversaries. It is not a solicitation to make any exchange in commodities, securities or other financial instruments.

Reuters reported that Ford has recalled over 5 million vehicles since 2016 that had issues with door latches - and that a spokeswoman for the company said customers with affected vehicles will hear from the company next month.

The fix is created to prevent doors from not opening or closing properly.

The door may appear closed, but the latch may not fully engage, which means the door could open while the truck is being driven, Ford said.

The lab had hosted two three-person crews in its lifespan, including the country's first female astronaut, Liu Yang. In 2013, Tiangong-1 anticipated to be deorbited and will be replaced by larger Tiangong-2 and Tiangong-3 modules.

The recall involves 1.1 million trucks in the United States, more than 222,000 trucks in Canada and 21,000 trucks in Mexico. The Super Duty was also resigned for 2017 for the first time in two decades.

The company in November 2016 sent a bulletin to dealers that warned some 2015-2017 Ford F-150 trucks could have inoperative latches during freezing temperatures. Ford sold 820,000 of the F-series trucks in the US previous year. Selecting all options on the highest level F-450 Limited runs the total price up to $94,455.
