Linkin Park singer in posthumous Carpool Karaoke show

Along with actor Ken Jeong and other members of Linkin Park, Bennington drove around singing hit songs and laughing with his co-stars.

It's been nearly three months since the news that Linkin Park's Chester Bennington died by suicide, and the tributes and comments about the lead singer are still pouring in.

The Girl Scouts of the US criticized the initiative, saying it strained the century-old bond between the two organizations. Michael Surbaugh, the BSA's chief scout executive, said reinforcing positive character traits is important for everyone.


The episode was shared on Linkin Park's Facebook page on Thursday, and a special dedication to the late musician ran at the beginning. It was shot by Apple Music, as part of their Carpool Karaoke series.

Bennington died July 20th of a suicide by hanging. This was taped July 14, 2017.

They also preform a number of covers, like Outkast's Hey Ya, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Under The Bridge, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.

The video ends with a link directing fans to donate to the One More Light Fund in Bennington's honor.

Bennington's band will be hosting a benefit concert in his memory on October 27 at the Hollywood Bowl in California.

During his visit, when Evangelin tried to withdraw some money from an ATM kiosk, he found his debit card blocked. When the local police came to know about this, they reached the spot and took him to the police station.


In August, James Corden, who began the "Carpool Karaoke" series as a segment on his late-night show, said he would not release the episode without the approval of the late singer's family.
