Daesh's British online recruiter 'White Widow' killed by USA drone

Jones became known as the White Widow after her British jihadist husband Junaid Hussain was killed in a USA drone strike in August 2015.

Tabloid newspaper The Sun said United States authorities had told them that Sally Jones, a former singer in a rock band, and her 12-year-old son died in June near the border with Iraq.

Sally Jones appears in a selfie before she left for Syria, and in a burqa with a weapon.

Following the death of Hussain, Jones was reportedly placed in charge of the female wing of IS' Anwar al-Awlaki batallion - a foreign fighter unit formed with the goal of planning and executing attacks in the West.

Israel Retaliates for Rocket Fired from Gaza that didn't Make It Out
Meanwhile, Hamas has held a number of Fatah members in Gaza on grounds of carrying out attacks in Gaza to cause security chaos. Earlier on Sunday night, the military had said a rocket fell in an open area in the Eshkol region of southern Israel .

The Home Office source is quoted as saying, "The Americans zapped her trying to get away from Raqqa. Quite frankly, it's good riddance", the unnamed official said.

She became radicalized after travelling to Syria following an online romance with convicted computer hacker and IS member Junaid Hussain, who died in a 2015 drone strike.

Jones in particular targeted young girls to travel to Syria and become jihadi brides and her husband reportedly ran a hacking unit for ISIS.

Boy Scouts to admit girls into programs
The Girl Scouts of the US criticized the initiative, saying it strained the century-old bond between the two organizations. Michael Surbaugh, the BSA's chief scout executive, said reinforcing positive character traits is important for everyone.

According to the Sun, Jones was last seen fleeing from Raqqa, heading for a town on the border with Iraq. Spokesman Maj Adrian Rankine-Galloway said, "I do not have any information that would substantiate that report but that could change and we are looking into this".

Major General Chip Chapman, the former MoD head of counter terror, said Jones would have been a "significant" target as a result of her alliance with Hussain and her role in recruiting IS fighters.

Speaking to the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme, Moaveni said: "Having [Jones] on side was really important in terms of projecting the idea that Isis could get into the very furthest reaches of British society".
