Woman Wrestles Shark Out Of Pool With Bare Hands

A Sydney, Australia, real estate agent is being hailed a hero after video of her saving a small Port Jackson shark stuck in a rock pool in Cronulla went viral.

The shark became trapped when it rode a wave or ocean surge into the rock pool that is separated from the ocean by a wall.

Melissa Hatheier has added "in-house shark wrangler" to her job description after she was filmed wrestling a predator out of the Oak Park Rock Pool at Cronulla on Monday. "I was feeling sorry for him", she said.

Hatheier swam into the pool to grab a hold of the shark before carrying it to the edge of the pool and tossing it back into the ocean.

Hatheier's daughter, Shannon, captured the daring save on video, showing the real estate agent using her bare hands and picking up the shark and safely placing it over the divider. And they didn't know what to do.
