National Football League star Josh Gordon comes clean about his drug use

Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, who still has not been reinstated by the National Football League, recently opened up about his history of drug abuse in a documentary filmed for Uninterrupted. While at Baylor, Gordon was suspended during his sophomore season after police found him and a teammate with marijuana in the auto.

Gordon admitted to using several drugs including Xanax, cocaine, and codeine in addition to marijuana and admitted his first trip to rehab in 2014 was just a "publicity stunt". "It's what I grew up using".

Gordon truly does sound remorseful and intent on getting his life back on track, but this is more startling news about Baylor following other recent scandals. "I've been enabled by coaches, teachers, professors, everybody pretty much gave me a second chance just because of my ability".

The host asked him, "So you failed the drug test because the coach didn't come by with the detox drinks that time?"

But Oscar Cardozo and Antonio Sanabria scored late to lift Los Guaraníes to an unlikely win and keep their World Cup hopes alive. Quito sits 2850 metres above sea level, resulting in a reduced oxygen supply and generally challenging conditions for football.

Josh Gordon was a talented receiver during his time at Baylor and early in his career with the Cleveland Browns. On the night before the sixth - in which he needed to play to achieve limited free agency the next year - he partied late into the night and slept through the team's walk-through the next morning. According to Cleveland.com, this was Gordon's fourth known trip to rehab.

Gordon, 26, has played in only 35 NFL games since he was selected by the Browns in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental draft.

Following the release of the film, LeBron James tweeted his support for Gordon.

"I got suspended for the entire year", Gordon said, "and after that it kind of all came in from all angles, different fans, everybody kind of was like 'Oh, you're a piece of s--, you're a drug addict, you're a junkie, whatever, you're alcoholic'".

Stephen Paddock Reportedly Booked Hotel Room Overlooking Lollapalooza
Paddock appeared to have booked other hotel rooms before his deadly mass shooting rampage in Las Vegas , according to police. Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said the gunman would have had to be a "superhero" to have pulled off the massacre alone.

Gordon still has to apply for reinstatement again, and likely will be suspended for four games upon his return.

"He showed me how to drink them, showed me how to take them". In 2013, he led the National Football League in receiving yards with 1,646 in 14 games.

Gordon insists he is serious about getting his life together, saying at the video's conclusion, "I need to try to make right for all my past transgressions and mistakes and show and prove I can be a better person, I can be a better man".
