Canada to Investigate Scope of Equifax Hack

By any standard, the Equifax security breach is one of the great economic catastrophes of the century.

But Equifax, which collects data about consumers' credit histories and provides credit checks to a variety of companies, had been tight-lipped about the impact of the cyberattack in Canada.

A wide range of sensitive and valuable information was exposed in the colossal Equifax data breach, including addresses, date of birth, driving license details and social security numbers. "This is Equifax calling to verify your account information".
