Emmys 2017: Jackie Hoffman yells 'damn it' after loss to Laura Dern

Jackie Hoffman was seen screaming "damn it" after she missed out on an Emmy to Big Little Lies star Laura Dern. Hoffman's Twitter-game was at an all-time high on September 17 as she jokingly continued to troll.

Hoffman was also up against her Feud castmate Judy Davis, as well as Shailene Woodley, Regina King and Michelle Pfeiffer. Dern had always been the favorite in that category, especially after a big night of wins for Big Little Lies already, so it's likely Hoffman had expected to lose going in.

"Not done yet, she tweeted, 'I hear that Laura Dern runs a child porn ring #soreloser Emmys2017". Dern is, of course, the daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern.

Those of us who know Hoffman's wry sense of humor from her many memorable Broadway appearances were instantly aware that it was all in fun. "Forgive me for being from real people #elitism".
