Adopted son of Jerry Sandusky pleas guilty to sexual abuse charges

Jeffrey's father, Jerry Sandusky, is serving a sentence of at least 30 years for sexually abusing 10 young boys while he was an assistant at Penn State.

Jeffrey Sandusky, while largely silent to the press, had until recently been a Jerry loyalist through the progress of his father's criminal case, often appearing in court proceedings with his mother, Dottie. He defended the infamous coach in multiple interviews, seeing "boundary issues" where a jury saw predation, and managed to convince a writer for Bleacher Report of "the sincerity behind his words" - if not the words themselves.

When the older teen refused to send Sandusky the photographs he demanded, Parks Miller said, he became more insistent, badgering her to comply over a two day period.

He apparently tried to convince them it was okay to engage with him because he "had studied medicine".

That girl told investigators that Mr. Sandusky later told her, "I can't even say anything except I'm sorry".

But it was too late.

He was charged in February with solicitation of statutory sexual assault, solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, solicitation of child sexual abuse and unlawful contact with a minor, among 14 total charges, PEOPLE confirmed at the time.

Just as he had defended his father, Jeffrey Sandusky's mother defended him, Cindy Boren wrote for The Post. He also pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors.

His lawyer didn't immediately answer a request for comment from The Post, and it's unclear when his sentence will be set.

The district attorney's office released a statement saying that Sandusky's plea of guilty will make him a Tier III sex offender.

"We are happy that these girls can move forward and experience a life with adults that deserve their trust", she said.

Presumably leading to Green's frustration, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has struggled mightily out of the gate this season. The Bengals have lost the first two games of its young season, including its home opener, 20-0, against the Baltimore Ravens.
