Trump's America still haunts South Park's uneven season premiere

In the premiere for the show's 21st season, "White People Renovating Houses", which mainly addressed Charlottesville and white supremacy, lower-class white nationalists blame Amazon Alexa and Google Home devices for taking their "jerbs".

South Park belongs to the Comedy Central television network. It's a running joke that dates back to 2004, when the episode "Goobacks" dealt with American xenophobia in the form of time traveling humans.

It's telling that its most successful moments of the premiere are Randy enthusiastically sledge-hammering the houses he's renovating and Cartman growing unjustifiably dead-eyed and exhausted in his relationship with Heidi.

The idea is that the train could match or exceed the speed of an airliner. The challenge of finding routes involved more than 100 countries.

At this point, "South Park" seems to be asking viewers to have pity on the white nationalists who lost jobs from automation while also calling them out for their ill-founded racism. Despite rumors that the show would distance itself from controversial current events, this season doesn't appear to be any different. No one wants to relationship Cartman.

The main plot centered on Matt and Trey going after the low hanging fruit of Charlottesville as Daryl and the other members of the "took er jobs" gang waved the confederate flag and complained about technology. It's really hard to make fun of and in the last season of South Park, which just ended a month-and-a-half ago, we were really trying to make fun of what was going on but we couldn't keep up and what was actually happening was much funnier than anything we could come up with. It's not that Matt Stone and Trey Parker don't still have their finger on the pulse when it comes to biting political satire because they do, it was just a case of them biting off more than they can chew. "You're stuck in another time, afraid to change".

Alexander described Gruver's death as "tragic and untimely". "We are investigating this matter with the utmost seriousness". King Alexander said all Greek activities at the university have been suspended indefinitely.

The premiere opens with the kids laughing their butts off by pranking their new Amazon Echo, asking Alexa to add "titty chips" and "smelly tampon boogers" to their shopping list, which Alexa dutifully repeats.

South Park has long loved mocking anyone who holds beliefs too dearly-an impulse that can lead to sharp comedy, as long as the world is stable enough to allow for cynicism.

"South Park" will always value amusing moments over a serious message.
