WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton announces resignation, will start a non-profit

Brian Acton, one of the co-founders of WhatsApp is leaving the messaging service company. Along with Jan Koum, Acton founded the Whatsapp in 2009. "I have made a decision to move on and start a new chapter in my life", he wrote in a Facebook post. He added that the next venture by him would include starting of a non-profit organisation, which will serve in the domains of technology and communication.

Acton was with Whatsapp when Social networking giant Facebook acquired it in the year 2014. "I'll have more to share in the coming months".

Minnesota Native Heading To Int'l Space Station
The three crewmates launched aboard the Soyuz MS-06 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 5:17 p.m. (3:17 a.m. Army colonel, is scheduled to head to the International Space Station Tuesday afternoon, according to NASA officials.

After working at Yahoo, Acton was ironically rejected by Facebook in 2009 when he went for an interview. This decision is, of course, a tough one. I'm proud of what our team has accomplished in only a few years, and it's humbling to see that so many people rely on WhatsApp every day.

Acton led engineering internally for WhatsApp, and a source close to the company says he was a big advocate for WhatsApp's push into encryption.

India regrets criticism by UN Human Rights body on Rohingya issue
Chander said that the government is perplexed that such statements are being made by people holding high posts in the United Nations.

Acton is remaining tight-lipped on the precise focus of his cryptic largesse but his departure will create a significant void within WhatsApp, with his current duties unlikely to be filled by any one employee. I think it was best for us that he didn't get hired by Facebook or Twitter otherwise the messaging app WhatsApp which is serving over 1 billion across the globe probably wouldn't have existed. Acton is now estimated to have a net worth of $6.5 billion, according to Recode. According to his Facebook post, Brian will soon start his own non-profit business.
