"It happened to be a home run". What is most pertinent is that they snap out of the immediate haze they are performing in, where save for an 8-2 victory last Thursday, they have managed a grand total of seven runs in the last eight days.

The Mets had given the 23-year old a brief 1-0 lead in the fourth. Kyle Schwarber added a solo shot in the fifth inning, while Ian Happ followed with a solo homer in the seventh. "Right now it's the Mets".

Jose Reyes' inning-ending double play in the first. In the bottom half of the inning, another lead-off batter, Kyle Schwarber this time, reached via a walk, and opened the floodgates to a four-run inning, capped off by a Kris Bryant three-run dong.

The team went 5-2 during a home stand against the Reds and Phillies, and could have went 6-1 if the bullpen did its job Sunday. Every fan base has issues with the lineup construction and the bullpen decisions and all beat writers get exhausted of listening to the manager's talking points.
