Some reports have said as many as 9 people have been killed.

At least two people were killed when an explosion took place during a cricket league match at Kabul International Stadium on Wednesday.

The attacker detonated the bomb after he was stopped at a security checkpoint by suspicious police as he walked towards the Alokozay Kabul International Cricket Ground where a match was under way. Initial reports had said that the explosion was at one of gates of the stadium.

Hyderabad youth kills minor for cajoling him to marry her
Since the parents first approached Miyapur police, a case of kidnapping was registered, as she was a minor. The girl's body was brought to hospital in a decomposed state and this made it hard to gather clues.

The explosion happened at around 3:45 p.m., police spokesman Basir Mojahid said.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

The stadium was packed with people watching the Shpageeza Cricket League 2017, Afghanistan's annual domestic T20 Tournament.
