Minnesota happiest state in US

At least that's what WalletHub found, looking at three main areas: Emotional and Physical Well-Being, Work Environment, and Community and Environment. CT ranked 18th, making it one of the more joyful states in the nation - not as peppy as Minnesota, which was named the happiest state, but certianly much more upbeat than last-ranked West Virginia.

Only West Virginia at 50 was less happy.

Hawaii and California earn the third and fourth spots on the list as both states are in the top five as locations with lowest adult depression rates.

So declares WalletHub, a consumer site that examined data on 28 quality of life issues, ranging from exercise and suicide rates, to work hours and the environment.

Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas finish out the bottom five states, with some of the lowest safety ranks and sports participation rates.
