Destiny 2 Is Down: 7 Things to Know About the Server Maintenance

It's clear that Bungie never meant to associate with such a group, and we commend them for taking note and removing the design so quickly after it was picked up. This does NOT represent our values, and we are working quickly to correct this. The reference to the hate group might be vague for many so we'll do some explaining.

Bungie have announced that Destiny 2 servers are set to go down for around four hours today (September 12) following the first weekly reset.

Kek is a mock religion created by members of the white nationalist movement known as the Alt-right.

Many players are now wondering what those gauntlets might be and if they have them. As explained by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the term is based on video game forum language and an Egyptian god named Kek which has a frog's head.
