Amazon surprised everyone Thursday morning when it announced it is looking to build a second headquarters in a city in North America. Any potential site must have room to grow, as Amazon wants to expand its new headquarters to as much as eight million square feet in the next decade.

"With Council's recent endorsement in principle of the $150 million university and innovation centre funding & already being home to 2 Amazon fulfillment centres, Brampton is emerging as an attractive player on the Innovation Super Corridor".
