Madarsas opposes government directive for videography of ID celebrations

Official sources in Minority Welfare department said that directives for hoisting National Flag and reciting National Anthem have been issued to madrasas earlier as well.

An order by Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board to its affiliated schools in the state to "compulsorily" observe Independence Day and send pictures of activities organised on the occasion has triggered a controversy here. The flag hoisting should be followed by a speech on the importance of the freedom struggle and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The nation would be on high alert during the Independence Day celebrations. Students are also asked to sing songs based on nationalism.
