The Gunners handed record signing Alexandre Lacazette his Premier League debut and it took only two minutes for the striker to get his first goal.

The Gunners eventually ran out 4-3 winners following an entertaining encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

He responded promisingly to Leicester's first equaliser by just missing the net, which happened a few times within the match and led to the England worldwide becoming more visibly frustrated on the pitch.

It took the arrival of Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud from the bench in the second half to turn it around against Leicester and give Arsenal only its second opening-day victory in eight seasons.

"But I don't want him to go and in the end he chose to stay and it was one of the days of recent weeks for me because I know how important he is".

"We're gonna win the league!" sang the Leicester fans and they nearly had a third goal to cheer when Okazaki's header from Christian Fuchs's cross bounced just wide of Cech's left-hand post.

He's good enough to do that job of a second striker; what Dzeko did for Man City for two or three years when they were winning titles: you had Aguero as the number one man but he played a huge role.

"It was a great game for the fans to watch but it is disappointing for ourselves", he told LCFC TV. He'll play 30 games, he'll give you 15 goals.

"Overall I must say we kept going and the spirit of the team was absolutely outstanding", he said in his post-match interview. Buckets of goals, wild defensive irresponsibility, Arsenal frailty and Arsenal fortitude (apparently it's a thing) - we feel confident saying it was the most entertaining match of the season so far.
