Single-engine plane crashes near Adrian, two seriously injured

Emergency services were called to the crash site just before midday on Saturday when the plane flipped as it was making its landing. It is understood the pilot was still trapped an hour after the crash. A man and woman who escaped the wreckage suffered only minor injuries.

Those three were in a stable condition on the Sunshine Coast.

The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office is investigating, and the Federal Aviation Administration is on the way to the scene, Bevier said.

A single-engine private plane crashed Friday near the Lenawee County Airport, injuring the two people on board, Lenawee County Undersheriff Troy Bevier said.

Their condition is not known.

The crash happened about a half mile away from the road near a field.

Two other occupants of the plane - a man and a woman whose ages are unknown - were able to free themselves from the wreckage shortly after the 11.45am crash.

A Police Media spokesman confirmed there had been "some sort of incident" but details were sketchy.
