Javed Miandad urger PCB to stop investing in bilateral series against India

Pakistan cricketers, now involved in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2017 and English domestic season, have been asked to cut short their participation in the wake of late finalisation and rescheduling of the upcoming ICC World XI series.

Next month, a World XI is due head to Pakistan for a tour as part of steps to determine if the security situation has improved sufficiently enough for other teams to tour the nation.

PCB said in an official statement that players were issued NOCs on the condition of World XI series and domestic commitments.

Single-engine plane crashes near Adrian, two seriously injured
A Police Media spokesman confirmed there had been "some sort of incident" but details were sketchy. A man and woman who escaped the wreckage suffered only minor injuries.

The tournament that will take place in Malaysia will include eight teams including the automatic qualifiers, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In order to consolidate measures to ensure the return of worldwide cricket in Pakistan, ICC had confirmed sending a World XI for a three-match T20 series to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan registered a moral victory over neighbours India on Sunday after forcing the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to move the U-19 Asia Cup out of Bengaluru to Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

"We have invited Sri Lanka to play a few matches (in Pakistan) after their series with us and I will try to get a reply on that invitation".

"This has compelled the PCB to call back centrally contracted players in contention for selection for the World XI series next month from their ongoing Caribbean Premier League and English county stints".

"The series has been brought forward to mid-September because the Punjab government wants it to be held before the NA120 election on September 17".

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on behalf of the woman identified as Kirsty Powell sued the city of Long Beach. Local news website ABC7 reported she had three outstanding warrants against her name, which have since been cleared.

The players have been asked to report for a pre-series fitness-testing and training camp planned by the national team management before the National T20 tournament that starts in Multan on August 25.
