Alexis Sanchez Out of Arsenal's EPL Opener Due to Abdominal Strain

Arsenal are fearful that Alexis Sanchez will attempt to force a move away from the club after it was revealed he will miss the Gunners' opening Premier League fixture against Leicester City.

Wenger is said to be willing to risk losing Sanchez on a free transfer next summer, rather than sell him to a rival team for his estimated value of £50m.

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and other top clubs have shown an interest in Sanchez this summer, but Arsene Wenger has said time and time again that he would rather keep him until the end of his contract. 'He has a little abdominal strain he caught in training. "He is out for a while, could be two weeks but he will not be available for Stoke".

"Alexis Sanchez is always a loss for us, of course".

Among other sources, this seems to mean that they are already shooting AVENGERS 4 (title still unknown). Some think the four fingers are simply an indication that the fourth Avengers film has started filming.

Sanchez was one of the best attacking players in Europe last season, scoring 30 goals and contributing 13 assists to Arsenal's cause.

'I think he will not play at Stoke.

The Chile forward missed pre-season after being granted extra time off following the Confederations Cup and has been ruled out of Friday's game due to an abdominal strain. I don't think I would have started him.

"He is focused. When you have treatment on the medical bench it's not easy".

Wenger added: "I'm convinced in 10 or 15 years it will not necessarily be a football specialist who is a manager of a club".

Sanchez isn't the only injury worry for Wenger going into the season-opener against the Foxes with Mesut Ozil (ankle), Aaron Ramsey (calf) and Shkodran Mustafi (fitness) all doubts. One or two weeks.

Sanchez, whose current deal expires in 2018, did not play in Arsenal's victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.

"Plenty of uncertainties about players who didn't play against Chelsea - Ramsey, Ozil, Mertesacker".

Wenger said: "I personally am convinced that will happen soon", with reference to Corinne Diacre, who manages second-tier French team Clermont Foot.
