White House communications director Anthony "The Mooch" Scaramucci has been on the job less than 48 hours, and already he's run into a slight problem: his own thoughts. Trump's relationships with GOP lawmakers are brittle at best and he has the lowest approval ratings of any president at the same point in his administration.

This week, China and the United States held major economic and trade talks.

Trump appears to be trying to revive his organization in an attempt to break out of a prolonged funk that has to a great extent wasted the first six months of his term - a time when presidents are usually at the apex of their power.

Scaramucci served Trump as a campaign fundraiser and adviser during the transition.

He had also accused Trump of engaging in "anti-American rhetoric". I was supporting another candidate. "We are confident it will close this summer", a SkyBridge spokeswoman told CNNMoney on Friday.

Critics like Fusion columnist Felix Salmon say that Scaramucci's jump from finance to the White House is a "classic revolving door play".
