Trump appoints special counsel to deal with Russian Federation 'heat'

Ty Cobb - a former federal prosecutor - has been hired to coordinate the White House response to the investigations into the Trump campaign's ties to Russian Federation, according to reports.

Cobb, a partner at the Washington, D.C., law firm Hogan Lovells, was speculated to be taking over the White House's response to the growing investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

Cobb is a partner in the investigations practice of the law firm Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C., the White House statement said.
