Texas man trapped in ATM slips notes to customers begging for help

A police officer driving near the waterfront in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon was waved down and given an unusual tip: An automated teller machine (ATM) was dispensing handwritten notes scribbled with an existential appeal - "please help". However, one of them made a decision to call the police. The notes which he had writen read "Please help. I'm stuck in here" before imploring people to call his boss. A Bank of America ATM spitting emergency notes with cash and receipts sounded like an absurdly constructed plot of a prank television show.

His strategy paid of as officials were notified and able to help him.
