Jack Wilshere Transfer Reportedly Wanted by Sampdoria

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he feels English worldwide midfielder Jack Wilshere will return to North London for next season.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Bournemouth after several injury-plagued campaigns with the Gunners, and it's believed the London club want €10 million for the midfielder.

Sky Italy reported on Thursday (13 July) that Sampdoria had emerged as a surprise next destination for the 34-cap England global, with Arsenal said to have set an asking price of just £9m ($11.7m).

Wilshere was ruled out of Arsenal's pre-season tour after his recovery took longer than anticipated which may have killed his chances of staying in England.

How Wilshere would react to an offer from Italy remains to be seen and it is still not clear whether Sampdoria would be able to cover all the financial aspects of a deal to sign the midfielder.

After an impressive start for the Cherries, Wilshere was eventually dropped to the bench from March onwards as his form dipped, before the second of broken legs ended his season prematurely in the 4-0 defeat to Tottenham on 15th April.
