Italy defender Bonucci nears move from Juventus to AC Milan

Italy global defender Leonardo Bonucci took out a page in a local newspaper on Saturday to thank Juventus fans for their support after agreeing a shock move to rivals AC Milan.

AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella has described coaching Leonardo Bonucci as "a dream come true" ahead of his official unveiling.

Bonucci's arrival in Milan comes after heavy investment from the seven-time Europeans champions following the sale of the club by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to a Chinese consortium in April.
