New Yorkers Look for 'Summer of Hell' Source and Find Cuomo

Republicans: 74 percent against a presidential run. President Obama, Vice President Biden, new President Trump - they all say the same thing. While Cuomo's office has rebuffed speculation that the governor is considering a presidential run, experts say prolonged subway issues could hurt any aspirations for higher office and weaken him in his home state.

Andrew Cuomo announced that he is not interested in a potential run against President Donald Trump in 2020, according to a statement released Tuesday.

Respondents gave Cuomo low grades for New York City transit, with almost a third awarding a "D" or "F". Still ahead are the trials of eight individuals, including people close to Cuomo, involved in alleged bid-rigging and bribery schemes. However, a new poll says Cuomo might not even be able to win his own state. Upstate voters gave him 37 percent positive and 48 percent negative reviews, down from 43 percent positive and 41 percent negative in March; two out of five voters also said they don't believe he's honest and trustworthy. Over all, 38 percent of the state's voters disapprove of the governor's performance, with his support much weaker outside New York City and its suburbs. The rest either said they didn't know or didn't have a response.
