Republicans not 'that far off' from passing health overhaul

"I just don't know whether the votes will be there by the end of the week", said Moran, R-Kan., during an interview on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo.

If Democrats all vote against the bill, Senate Republicans can only afford to lose two votes among their own ranks.

One of the Republican senators who's opposing his party's health care bill as written says the Senate shouldn't vote on the plan this week.

Tom Price, the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services defended the Senate health care bill draft, telling CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday that "the plan in its entirety will absolutely bring premiums down".

Andrea Constand thanks supporters after Cosby mistrial
Andrea Constand of Toronto has claimed that, during a visit to his home in 2004, Cosby gave her pills which incapacitated her. He told a room full of reporters that the last time he retried a case after a mistrial - in 1992 - he won a conviction.

Republican Senator Susan Collins of ME said on Sunday she has extreme reservations about the U.S. Senate's healthcare overhaul and does not think it will be able to pass this week. "I don't have the feedback from constituencies who will not have had enough time to review the Senate bill. We could well be in all night a couple of nights working through what will be an open amendment process and I think that at least is good".

President Trump expressed confidence that the bill to repeal the guts of the Affordable Care Act would pass after last-minute changes are made. He said Democrats "are doing everything we can to fight this bill because it's so devastating for the middle class". "We should not be voting on this next week".

"Johnson - who on Sunday said he is "not a yes yet" on the bill - noted that the goals of healthcare reform should be to restrain costs "while improving quality, access and innovation". They want to get some points.

"It's hard for me to see the bill passing this week", Collins said. "They're not going to go down after the Republican bill".

Grauer, while a proud supporter of Israel, also believes in a two-state solution and an independent Palestine. I don't know why my identity is excluded from that.

"Only in Washington is giving more each year considered a cut", said Barrasso, who also said the new health care plan will provide subsidies for insurance for those who don't qualify for Medicaid. That's because unanimous opposition is expected from Democrats in a chamber in which Republicans hold a narrow 52-48 majority.

Trump's comments come amid the public opposition of five Republican senators so far to the Senate GOP plan that would scuttle much of former President Barack Obama's health law.

The Trump administration is reminding the Republicans that the Senate bill fulfills several 2016 campaign promises. "I haven't seen that yet", Walker told reporters.

Though an estimate from the Congressional Budget Office won't be released until Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is pushing for a vote this week, before the July 4 recess.

Pakistan fuel truck death toll rises to 157
Mohammad Baqar, a senior rescue official in the area. "I could hear people screaming, but I couldn't get to them", he said. Nahid Ahmed at the Nishter Hospital in Multan says the death toll has steadily been rising and reached 157 on Monday.

He tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that he has "a hard time" believing that his constituents or even he "will have enough time to properly evaluate" the measure. He also said the bill fails to get to the heart of the matter: the cost of health care.
