Mourners gather for United States student jailed by N Korea

After Warmbier's release last week - in a coma and suffering severe brain damage - reports surfaced that he had gone on a Birthright trip in 2014 and subsequently became active with his campus Hillel at the University of Virginia (UVA).

"The fact that Warmbier died suddenly in less than a week just after his return to the U.S. in his normal state of health indicators is a mystery to us as well", the agency reported.

The North Koreans had told United States officials that Warmbier slipped in a coma after contracting botulism and taking a sleeping pill.

But the state-run Korean Central News Agency said Friday said that Warmbier was treated in accordance with domestic law.

Some of the evidence at trial was purported security footage of Warmbier removing a political banner from his hotel.

Week ahead: Senate races toward healthcare vote
McConnell has said he's willing to make changes to win support, and in the week ahead, plenty of backroom bargaining is expected. Taking that into consideration, and assuming all Democrats vote against it, Republicans can only afford two defections.

Hundreds of mourners are celebrating the life of an American college student who was detained in North Korea for over a year and died shortly after being returned home to OH in a coma.

Warmbier died days after his return to the United States, and his funeral was held Thursday in his hometown of Wyoming, Ohio. The attendees included Ambassador Joseph Yun, the USA special envoy who traveled to Pyongyang to bring Warmbier back.

University of DE professor says Otto Warmbier "got what he deservered".

Chairman of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee Ed Royce has promised to move swiftly to advance a bill to limit travel by American citizens to North Korea, Congressman Joe Wilson said in a statement on Tuesday.

"I know being there had something to do with it", Volo said. "You can tell from the outpouring of emotion from the communities that he touched - Wyoming, Ohio, and the University of Virginia to name just two - that the love for Otto went well beyond his immediate family".

Supreme Court Could Reveal Action On Travel Ban At Any Time
The president is also seeking orders letting the travel ban take effect in the meantime. A Ronald Reagan appointee, he has served on the Supreme Court for 29 years.

But later in the day, they said the family objected to an autopsy being performed on his body, so just an external exam was done.

Through its state-run news agency, KCNA, a government source as said: 'Our relevant agencies treat all criminals in accordance with domestic laws and global standards and Warmbier was not an exception'. We jumped up and down. His father insisted that his son was "brutalized and terrorized" in the North.

The tweet has been shared by thousands, many of whom called for Dettwyler's resignation/termination and said they would not be sending their children to the university in light of her comments.

While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. "If we could get more trips going over there, I think anything is possible", Volo said.

Trump attacks Obama's handling of Russian meddling
The White House referred any questions about the Russian Federation investigations to Trump's personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz. By August, Trump was predicting that the election would be rigged.
