Donald Trump: It's a witch hunt against me

Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice, The Washington Post reported Wednesday evening.

Vice-President Mike Pence has hired an outside lawyer to handle his response to inquiries into possible ties between President Trump's campaign and Russian Federation.

Mr Trump may have been referring to deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, who in a memo to Mr Trump raised concerns over Mr Comey's performance. He took to Twitter, Thursday to rail on the prospects of being investigated for allegedly asking fired FBI Director James Comey to stop investigations into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

These officials claim Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats, head of the National Security Agency Adm. Mike Rogers, and Rogers' recently departed deputy, Richard Ledgett, agreed to be interviewed by Mueller's investigators as soon as this week.

He also implied that Constand had not been truthful on the stand, saying that she was "well-coached". He added that people don't know enough about what constitutes an allegation of sexual assault.

Mr Trump - who has repeatedly denied any collusion with Russian Federation - said the move was the latest action in a "phony story".

"The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", Marc Corallo, a spokesman for Trump lawyer Marc Kasowitz told CBS News Wednesday night. His comments came just days after explosive comments by ousted FBI director James Comey to the same committee, suggesting that Trump sought to interfere with the investigation.

Moscow has denied USA intelligence agencies' conclusion that it interfered in last year's election campaign to try to tilt the vote in Trump's favor.

During the 1990s, President Bill Clinton and supporters protested the investigation of independent counsel Kenneth Starr, which began as a probe of the Whitewater real estate deal and ended with Clinton's impeachment on charges of perjury and obstruction regarding his relationship with intern Monica Lewinsky.

Theoretically, Trump could be saying that Mueller told him to fire Comey, though that makes little sense since Mueller was not part of his administration. "#MAGA", Trump tweeted later Thursday morning. "Witch Hunt", the president wrote in his tweet.

"The Vice-President is focused entirely on his duties and promoting the President's agenda and looks forward to a swift conclusion of this matter", a Pence spokesman said.

An hour after the "nice" tweet, Trump continued to reiterate his stance that the investigation was a farce, tweeting again that it was a "witch hunt".

New study of Seattle's $15 minimum wage says it costs jobs
It may have longterm effects because, even if it is getting harder , most minimum-wage workers get raises and earn more over time. Self-serve ordering kiosks could help fast-food chains cut costs - and worker jobs - at a time when the minimum wage is rising.
