Bad news for fans of Netflix series Girlboss

Bad news for fans of Netflix series Girlboss

However, it seems Netflix didn't love it as much as we did, because they've made a decision to cancel the show after just one series.

In a series of Instagram stories, executive producer and #Girlboss author Sophia Amoruso discussed the cancellation, stating she was looking forward to "controlling [her] narrative from here on out". "A big, expensive show for a tiny audience is hard even in our model to make that work very long". Much like Sophia Amoruso in 2006, "Girlboss' does not seem to know what it wants to be when it grows up".

This weekend, Netflix opted to cancel the series, which starred Britt Robertson and was based primary on the life of young business tycoon Sophia Amoruso. Amoruso gained public prominence as the founder of the Nasty Gal clothing company, and the 2014 book that formed the basis of the show was a bestseller.

USA secretary Tillerson says "very difficult" for Qatar to comply with demands
The demands regarding Al-Jazeera, the Doha-based satellite broadcaster, state that Qatar must also shut down all affiliates. A list of 13 orders has been drawn up by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain.

Earlier this month at PGA's Produced By conference, Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos discussed the process behind deciding whether or not to cancel a show, reported Deadline.

According to AdNews, Netflix wants to spend closer to one billion dollars this year.

The cancellation comes after Netflix swung the axe on Sense8 after two seasons - with Netflix executives claiming that the show's costly budget was not justified by sufficient viewing figures. "Ppl read the headline, not the correction, I've learned".

30 missing after tourist boat sinks in Colombia
Moncada said that 99 people were rescued immediately and another 40 managed to find shore on their own and were in good health. Videos on social media showed the party boat rocking back and forth just before it overturned.

Netflix continues its recent streak of cancellations, and its latest victim is none other than freshman comedy series, "Girlboss".

CEO Reed Hastings said last month that the streaming service is going to be a lot more ruthless about the shows it cuts in future, without admitting that some of these shows might have gotten shit ratings. When he's not working hard on The Reel Word, you can find him at a local Sydney cinema or catching up on his ever-growing list of must-watch TV shows.
