Team India should have refused to play against Pak: Sena

WEB DESK -After the crushing defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Pakistan in the final of ICC Champions Trophy, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has defended his team's poor show.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Sunday just after the match sent a video from Saudi Arabia in which he congratulated and appreciated the entire team over the classic victory in the ICC Champions Trophy's final match against India.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa said "nothing beats team work".

The Sena said those mourning India's loss in the final of the ICC event should instead have celebrated the hockey team's victory over Pakistan on the same day.

Portugal is close to containing wildfire that killed 64
Vaz Pinto told reporters the Gois wildfire was "very fast and very explosive" and had forced the evacuation of 11 hill villages. It is possible that the lady saw an aircraft and the unrelated explosion, which appeared to be associated with the plane.

"I hope this win will boost up Pakistan cricket, and all playing nations (will come) to Pakistan". Huge congratulations need to go to Mickey Arthur, Sarfraz Ahmed, the support staff and players for showing great character and turning the team's fortunes around.

The huge support underlines Sarfraz's plea in the immediate aftermath of the final, when he called for global teams to return to Pakistan for top-flight cricket. Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali also notched up half centuries. Right now, we are the sixth best team in the world which is not a bad thing, considering we were 8 a few weeks back and on the verge of extinction from ICC Champions Trophy, this time a year ago. In response, India stuttered early in the chase after Mohammad Amir struck thrice in the first powerplay after which they failed to recover and succumbed to a 180-run defeat despite a blistering 76 from Hardik Pandya.

"Credit to everyone for standing up and showing that resilience and reaching the finals - (but) we were outplayed in all departments".

"But I am more happy and delighted for players like Fakhar Zaman and Hassan Ali, who impressed their peers through their talent and performances, and found their way in the side".

Adonis Stevenson favourite to fight Andre Ward next
Weeks stopped the fight knowing that Kovalev was badly hurt by Ward's power shot on Kovalev's head earlier in the round. Ward has shown some profound interest to step into the ring with the IBF heavyweight and WBA "super" champion.

Former captain MS Dhoni had rescued India from many a dire position in his long career.

Since the departure of captains Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan from the 50-over format in 2015, Pakistan slumped to ninth in ODI rankings and barely managed to qualify for the Champions Trophy, contested by the top eight sides in the rankings.

"What we want to do is differentiate our global events from each other so that they can be standalone and create maximum interest every time the event happens", Richardson told reporters via telephone on the eve of the ICC's annual conference in London.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says it would cause 23 million more Americans to be without health insurance by 2016. The most important issue is we have to drive down the cost of premiums. "The Senate debated the bill for 25 days", Murphy said.
